Westminster Case Study

Delta Communications has enjoyed a long standing relationship with Westminster City Council and City West Homes. When Delta were first contacted about upgrading all their ageing Warden Call Systems, every scheme was visited and a report submitted on the condition of the equipment and the priority in which the upgrades should be carried out.

After a long period of consultation another manufacture was chosen purely on price. However, after the first installation was carried out, the whole project was stopped partly due to Westminster being dissatisfied with the chosen equipment and the service back up.

Following another lengthy consultation period, Delta was awarded the contract, initially through a building contractor employed to carry out major refurbishment works. This contract was split into two phases over a six month period consisting of a total of 16 schemes, the first of these being a 24 storey block with 164 flats. Delta worked alongside this contractor so that individual dwellings were completed quickly and efficiently to allow the residents to move back in.

Since the completion of the contract, Delta has continued working closely with City West Homes and has upgraded more sheltered schemes for them.

Damian Moynahan, Housing and Care Services at Westminster Council, is very positive about the work performed by Delta Communications:-

“As a manager handling several projects simultaneously, it was a delight working with a company with the same values, eye for detail and dedication to achieving high levels of quality. “
